hello again. it’s me, back from vacation but with a fuzzy brain and head full of thoughts about my move in two weeks, and of course — decorating! the very best part of moving, cuz let’s face it, the packing part is no fun. no fun at all. i lay awake at night redecorating each room over and over, and as i said in my post yesterday, i was sooooo inspired by coqui coqui in tulum — it’s like the decorating goddesses sent me there just in time to see it all before i moved to los angeles. of course, tulum has got a Caribbean beach vibe going on, but the best bits i saw, like coqui coqui and even restaurants like hartwood and posada margherita had a sophisticated seaside vibe — black against white terra cotta and stonework, with lots of natural canvas and navy/black blue and grey. i took a look around for more inspiration and found a few items to help us get the look. i’m seeing this as a new trend — not betting my house on it, but i’ve got a gut feeling.
